How can it be safe to encrypt my files on a website?

Because we don't use any server: encryption happens with a technology called WebCrypto, which comes built-in to your own browser. Your file and password never leave your device — not even we could see them if we wanted to.
What happens if I forget my encryption password?

There's no way to recover the file. Since it doesn't go through any server, no copy of your password exists anywhere — we can't help you recover it. Keep it safe.
What type of encryption do you use?

AES-256, the same encryption standard used by banks and governments, combined with PBKDF2 to protect your password against brute force attacks.
Is there a file size limit?
