Why split your PDFs on PDFDocks?
When you split a PDF on a normal website, the typical workflow is that your file travels to an external server, gets processed there, and then returned to you in pieces. That round trip means that for a few seconds, a document that may contain confidential information — a contract, an invoice, a medical report — passes through a third party's hands. On PDFDocks, PDF splitting is done with JavaScript, directly in your browser. Your original file never leaves your device: it's not uploaded, not processed remotely, and no copies are left anywhere that would need to be deleted later. This also has a practical advantage: you don't depend on your connection speed to upload the file, nor on whether the server is overloaded with other users. Page separation is virtually instantaneous because your own computer or mobile does all the work. For the same reason, there are no artificial limits on pages or file size: if your device can open the PDF, it can split it.
Is the splitting process secure?

Is there a page or file size limit for splitting a PDF?

We haven't set any artificial limits. Since the process happens in your own browser and not on a shared server, you can split PDFs of any size or number of pages — the only real limit is your device's memory.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server when using this tool?

Can I split very large PDFs?

No. Splitting a PDF doesn't re-compress or convert pages into images: each page is copied as-is into the resulting file, with the same text, images, and quality as the original document.
